Why visit Ojców National Park?

Ojców National Park is the smallest national park in Poland, but its landscape is remarkably varied. The protected Prądnik Valley is filled with limestone rock formations, caves, ravines, forests, streams and historic buildings. Its compact size makes it an excellent choice for a half-day or full-day trip from Kraków.

Highlights can include:

- the medieval ruins of Ojców Castle, overlooking the Prądnik Valley;
- Kraków Gate, the park’s best-known limestone rock formation;
- King Łokietek’s Cave, linked to one of Poland’s most famous royal legends;
- Dark Cave, an important prehistoric and archaeological site;
- the wooden Chapel on the Water in the heart of Ojców;
- Pieskowa Skała Castle and the nearby Hercules’ Club rock formation;
- scenic walks through the Prądnik and Sąspowska valleys;
