Description of the object

“Pod Zamkiem” Car Park in Ojców, also known as the car park below the ruins of Ojców Castle, is located in the very centre of Ojców, at the foot of the castle hill. It is one of the most convenient starting points for exploring Ojców and Ojców National Park.

The car park is managed by Ojców National Park. It is an unguarded, paid car park operating throughout the year. The car park and its immediate surroundings are covered by 24-hour CCTV monitoring.

Pod Zamkiem Car Park – 2026 parking fees

• passenger car – PLN 10 for each started hour,
• motorcycle – PLN 10 for each started hour,
• camper van, bus, minibus, delivery vehicle or trailer – PLN 17 for each started hour,
• coach – parking prohibited,
• buses and other vehicles with a gross vehicle weight above 3.5 tonnes – parking prohibited.

Parking fees apply every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays.

How do I pay for parking?

The parking fee should be paid immediately after entering and parking the vehicle. According to the current regulations, drivers have 15 minutes from entering the car park to make the payment.

You can pay for parking:

• with coins at the parking meter,
• by payment card at the parking meter,
• using a mobile parking application, if this payment method is currently made available by the car park operator.

Card payments may occasionally be unavailable for technical reasons, so it is advisable to have an alternative payment method available.

When using the parking meter, make sure you enter the correct vehicle registration number. The printed parking ticket must be displayed in a clearly visible place behind the front windscreen. For motorcycles, payment verification is carried out electronically.

What if your visit to Ojców takes longer than expected?

If your paid parking period is about to expire, you must purchase additional parking time so that there is no break in the paid parking period.

The following situations may be treated as failure to pay the required parking fee:

• failure to pay within the required time,
• exceeding the paid parking period,
• a break between consecutive parking payments,
• failure to display the parking ticket behind the front windscreen,
• entering an incorrect vehicle registration number,
• paying according to the wrong vehicle tariff.

The current additional charge is PLN 300. If it is paid within 2 days, including the day on which it was issued, a 70% discount applies. In this case, the amount payable is PLN 90.

Is a Pod Zamkiem parking ticket also valid at Złota Góra?

No. A parking fee paid at one Ojców National Park car park does not entitle you to park at another OPN car park in a different location.

If you pay for parking at Pod Zamkiem and later drive to Złota Góra, you must pay a new parking fee, even if the parking time purchased at the first car park has not yet expired.

Buses, camper vans, trailers and coaches

Only vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tonnes may use the Pod Zamkiem car park.

Camper vans, buses, minibuses and delivery vehicles within this weight limit are charged PLN 17 for each started hour.

Coaches, buses and other vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes are not permitted to park at Pod Zamkiem. These vehicles can use the Złota Góra Car Park in Ojców.

Please also note that a trailer, including a caravan, is treated as a separate vehicle and requires a separate parking fee. The tariff applicable to buses is used for trailers.

Parking for visitors with disabilities

Designated parking spaces are available for vehicles transporting people with disabilities. The vehicle should display the required parking permit in a clearly visible place.

Using a designated disabled parking space does not exempt the vehicle from the parking fee. If all designated spaces are occupied, a vehicle transporting a person with a disability may use another available parking space.

Electric vehicles and charging station

Electric and hybrid vehicles are also subject to the standard parking fee.

A two-point charging station for electric and hybrid vehicles is available at the Pod Zamkiem car park. Charging fees are separate from the parking fee.

What should I do if the Pod Zamkiem Car Park is full?

Because of its excellent location in the centre of Ojców, the Pod Zamkiem car park is very popular. On sunny weekends, public holidays and during the peak tourist season, it can fill up quickly.

The main official alternative is the Złota Góra Car Park.

The current fee for a passenger car at Złota Góra is PLN 8 for each started hour. From there, the centre of Ojców can be reached on foot using marked hiking trails.

What can you visit from the Pod Zamkiem Car Park?

The car park is conveniently located for visitors wishing to explore the centre of Ojców. The ruins of Ojców Castle are located immediately nearby, and from here you can continue on foot through the Prądnik Valley towards the Kraków Gate, the Spring of Love and other attractions of Ojców National Park.

Practical tip: at weekends and during periods of heavy tourist traffic, it is worth arriving earlier. Once you have parked, pay for your parking immediately and allow some extra time for sightseeing.
